Be Our Guest, Beauty and the Beast, Cast member, Disney, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Event, guided tour, Little Mermaid, Magic Kingdom, New Fantasyland, Preview, tour, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Walt Disney World
The other day I attended a cast member preview for the New Fantasyland area in Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World. Every cast member got a two hour slot to get to see the New Fantasyland with minimal lines to all the attractions they were also allowed to bring two friends.
My time slot was between 8 am to 10am in the morning and check-in was over at the Ticket and Transportation Center. Check-in was very quick and easy with the hand-in of a printout and were then given a wristband in a specific color. Different time slots had different colors and our 8-10am had the color red as you can see in the picture above.
We also received a cast member exclusive booklet, which was a nice little souvenir.
When we arrived in New Fantasyland we started with a visit to the day Belle and Beast fell in love, in Enchanted Tales with Belle which had no line at all.
There were several camera teams out interviewing people and we were also told that they were currently filming in the Be Our Guest restaurant. We then headed over to Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid and then took a photo with Ariel all without any lines.
What happened next was exactly what we were hoping for, we got a full guided tour of Be Our Guest restaurant. There are three dining rooms:
In the West Wing room there are two unique features that must be seen by anyone going in to the restaurant.
When the lightning strikes on to the castle, a single rose peddle falls from the rose…
…then the painting of the beast in human form turns to a picture of the Beast!
Here are some photos from the Wreck-It Ralph Event that was held today (20 Oct 2012) at Disney Quest in Downtown Disney.
The sign-in of the event occurred at the entrance of Disney Quest between 8:15am and 9:30am. When arriving at 8:30am there was already a long line stretching around the building towards the parking lot. This schedule of events was handed out as we were waiting in line.
Front side + Backside
Right after signing in we were given this (heavier than expected) Wreck-It Ralph medal and a Ralph tattoo.
Medal, front and back
and the tattoo.
After the photo was taken with Ralph there was time to go in and play the newly added video game Fix-It Felix.
It was a fun game and I succeeded in breaking the current High score with the score of 27900 points. 😀
You can try the game on Disney’s website: Fix-It Felix Jr.
The event included a preview of the movie Wreck-It Ralph that will be released November 2nd. Click here to see trailer.
We were given a free bag of popcorn and free soda along with our 3D glasses for the movie. Before the movie started Wreck-It Ralph himself showed up and they announced that he will be available for meet and greets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios by October 28th. We also got to see a short romantic film named Paperman before the movie started. Paperman was beautifully made and had a lot of feelings.
The movie Wreck-It Ralph was SUPERB! Whether you are a gamer or not, I think you will love this movie. It is a funny, heartbreaking, joyful and wonderfully entertaining movie! A must see!
Thank you very much Disney Parks Blog for setting this up!
